About Us
Supporting our students are our amazing team of Learning Coaches and Centre Manager Linda Morrison who are always there to help and are up to date on all the latest software and training courses. In Glasgow we also have Caroline Meikle spear heading the Glasgow and Edinburgh team. Caroline was the brand ambassador for Pitman Training Group winner in 2022.
At the Glasgow centre we offer a larger range of I.T. and P.D. one, two, and three-day seminars with face to face in, centre tutor, led delivery or virtually. This is perfect for our corporate customers. Glasgow also won the top centre award in 2022, As well as top rebranded centre in 2021. We offer student discount cards, support with employability, CV writing and a graduate site as well as a free graduation service. We are here to help our students attain that job promotion or new job.
Pitman Training offers training courses with a difference. We work around you! Thanks to our flexible training system you can attend the centre whenever it suits, work from home, or in your office and train at your own pace while still receiving support from our Learning Coaches. This allows you to work your training around your life without falling behind in scheduled classes. How good is that!
How To Find Us
Located on Union Street in the centre of Glasgow and can be accessed by all forms of Public Transport. We are located diagonally opposite Central Station as well as being walking distance from Buchanan Street and Queen Street. Parking is also available in the nearby NCP car parks.

Our Training
With the number of individual courses, awards and diplomas we offer, we have something to suit all. Our Course Advisors will chat through what will work for your specific needs and take you through the programme(s) to suit.
We deliver many courses in an online training format, but you have the full support of our amazing Learning Coaches throughout your training and can contact them by email or phone during our office hours if you have any questions or need assistance. Nothing is too much for our team and they are always happy to assist each and every one of our clients.
In most courses you will be watching and listening to recorded lessons and tutorials and where applicable, following along with a course workbook that you can download from your training account. Lessons are interactive and have exercises to complete for consolidation as well as working towards taking an end of course assessment. Successful completion of the assessment will mean that you achieve your Pitman Training certificate from us and we will also apply for your accredited CPD (Continual Professional Development) certificate too.
Individual Courses
All of the courses we offer are available to do as individual modules. This allows you to focus on the subjects that you really want to learn. Course lengths vary from 10 hours to approximately 30 hours of training. Throughout the courses you will complete a number of exercises and tasks before completing the validation test. At the end of your course you will receive a Pitman Training certificate in that subject which you can put on your CV.
Diploma Courses
As well as the individual courses we also offer a range of diplomas which gives you a wide range of skills as well as training for more specific roles. Our diplomas are made up of a range of our individual courses and seminars. We have diplomas for Admin Assistant , Medical and Legal Secretaries, Executive PA’s, Microsoft Office, Book-keeping, Web and Software Development, as well as many other areas. On completion of the diploma you will receive your diploma certificate as well as all the individual certificates too. Our diplomas vary in length depending on the size but you can be guaranteed that you will have a broad range of skills that will be attractive to any employer by the end. Courses can be done on a part-time or full-time basis. We even offer evening and weekend training times too.
Seminar Courses
We run a range of Personal Development, Wellness and IT Tutor Led seminars, Centre based and/or Virtual Learning which are available for both Corporate and Private individuals. The seminars vary from three hours to three days in length and cover areas such as Project Management, Train the Trainer, Assertiveness and Microsoft Office as well as many more! Our tutors are experts in the areas they teach so you can be assured that you are receiving the best training around!
